50 Years of Women at Providence College
50 Years of Women at Providence College
In 1971, the first “coeds” (as women students were then called) moved into Aquinas Hall. Fifty years later, the women of Providence College have shaped the character and trajectory of PC through their abilities to enlighten minds, open hearts, and transform lives.
To mark this historic occasion, Friartown celebrated Then, Now, Next: 50 Years of Women at Providence College in honor of the achievements and impact of our women students, alumni, faculty, and friends. In all they have done – and in who they are – the women of Providence College exemplify the College’s mission in pursuit of truth and by embracing the power of grace.
